5 Outdoor Events During Great Outdoors Month

Looking for something fun to do this summer that won’t break the bank? June is National Great Outdoors month, and that means that there are many fun (and free) activities for the whole family to enjoy! Read on and be sure to check out these great events.

1. National Trails Day

Taking place on June 6th 2015, National Trails Day is hosted by the American Hiking Society and is the USA’s largest celebration of trails. Individuals, clubs and organizations from around the country host National Trails Day events to share their love of trails with friends, family, and their communities. Interested in taking part? 2. National Get Outdoors Day

Saturday, June 13th is National Get Outdoors Day! This event is an annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun. Participating partners will offer opportunities for American families to experience traditional and non-traditional types of outdoor activities, and the prime goals of the day are reaching first-time visitors to public lands and reconnecting our youth to the great outdoors. 3. National Fishing & Boating Week

National Fishing and Boating Week takes place June 6th through 14th and it really is the perfect reason to get out on the water and enjoy the experience of boating and fishing.
