Spending time in the backyard is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Unfortunately, once the sun sets, everyone usually is forced to head inside unless you have exterior lighting. If you’ve been at work all day, that might mean you are only able to enjoy your outdoor space for a small number of hours each day.
If you don’t want to, or are unable to install exterior lighting in your outdoor space, a great alternative to light up your evenings are glow in the dark planters!
These planters are a simple DIY project, but they can also be purchased, ready to go.
If DIY is your style, or you simply do not like the styles, materials, or costs associated with premade versions, you can use a glow in the dark paint (like Rustoleum) to add that glow to a planter or pot of your choosing.
If you want the look without the work of DIY, there are great, flexible options available, like these from KuL. They come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes, with one that is sure to fit your needs. They have a much more modern looking than terracotta or plaster and are a beautiful addition to any outdoor space. In fact, they are sustainably manufactured in the USA, and maximize the amount of recycled materials. Additionally, the low wattage LED lighting that is used means that your new planter will look great for up to 50,00 hours of use!
